TGRA Scholarship Series
We rolled out the garage 10:00am Sunday for our first run on track in the new car. A fifty minute session gave me some time to get adjusted in the car, making a few minor changes throughout the session, we rounded out in P11.
Building on the momentum from practice, the team made some minor adjustments to the car before we headed out for qualifying at lunch. With a short 20-minute qualifying session, I was happy to qualify the car eighth.
Race One – Starting out of P8 I managed a good start off the line, slotting into fifth. Carrying good pace, I moved into fourth before suffering from a fuel issue on lap 4. Limping the car home, I finished in p28.
Race Two – Due to the progressive grids, I started race two out of P28. Throughout the 8-lap race, I was able to make solid ground through the field where I finished 12th.
Race Three – Starting out of P12 for the final race of the day, we carried on the momentum, coming through the field to finish 7th.
Despite the few issues we faced throughout the weekend, the team and myself were happy with the overall outcome of the weekend. Having made strong progression over the weekend, we’re excited to see what we can do at the next round at The Bend Motorsport Park in May.
